Applies to one unit only. This map is for the first Black Hole Spiral built with 6×12 mm LED neon, scanned on 18 Sep 2026. A later unit may route its strips to the controllers differently and lay the tube on the spiral differently, so its joints, labels and ports will not match. Scan it and build its own planner.
Strips are shown by their cable label, the name on the controller's lid sticker. The slider steps through them in their real order from the centre outward, then Y (the short outer piece) and Z (the hanging tail). Labels don't always match that order: at one point a number was used twice, so that strip became A and the count carried on, and 17 and 18 are swapped. Labels shown in amber are out of order. Click a strip on the map or a row in the table to jump to it.
0 is the tube as scanned. A positive value moves every joint toward the tip, as if the winding started further round at the rim. Use it to plan a re-install.
Your photo, with every strip's first and last channel lit and the meeting points marked. The fitted spiral is drawn over it. Green rings are where the LED map puts each hand-off, and the thin line runs to your nearest mark (yellow box). Click the photo to zoom in there, and click again to zoom out. Selecting a strip above also highlights it here.

One row per node port. Data enters each strip at its outer end and runs clockwise (seen from the front) toward the centre. Each strip is two 2.5 m rolls with a splice after LED 300. Positions read rib#tooth. Teeth are counted outward on the metal's helix, the same count your sightings used, so the rim reaches #58 on some ribs. Inside tooth 1 the tube sits on the camera holder's pegs. Click a row to show that strip on the map.

Joints |

A joint and its flat cable take up of tube, and a rib tooth is , so a joint clears only if its centre is more than from the rib. From tip is measured along the tube from its centre end, where the data stops. From rim counts teeth inward from the outermost tooth on that rib. Near the outside, that is the easier count to make. Marginal means it lies within the map's uncertainty: 1° of angle, about 7 mm at mid-radius.

Two of your wall sightings set the rotation. The other four were not used for the fit. Each one still has a matching joint in the model. That is a consistency check, not a proof: those four sightings don't say which cable they were.

These are outside the 28-strip chain, so no joint below is planned for them.
